This $1.5 billion car collection could possibly be the greatest on Earth.

But despite that lofty accolade, you have likely never heard of it before.

This is the Loh Collection at the Nazionale Auto Museum in Germany, and it is truly remarkable.

It’s the work of German businessman, Friedhelm Loh, and contains 150 jaw-dropping cars.

Inside the world’s most overlooked car collection

YouTuber, StanceWorks, was privileged enough to get a close look at this sensational array of cars.

Right from the get-go, the host Mike was drumming up enthusiasm.

“I’ve seen a lot of collections […] this is unlike anything I’ve ever seen,” he told his viewers.

“We’ve been here for hours and I’ve been speechless the entire time.”

The collection ranges from historical restorations to DTM (German Touring Car Masters) race cars and Formula 1 vehicles.

Among the more historical pieces were staples such as Mercedes, Alfa Romeo, and Rolls-Royce.

To fit the mood of a bygone era, they are situated in a room built around an old-fashioned movie theater.

You’d almost expect Steve McQueen to be playing on the screen, that’s how vintage it all feels.

The first car visited on a tour of the collection was a Ferrari 365 GTB4 Daytona.

The fact that Mike described this as a ‘teaser’ should give you some clue of how amazing the rest of the museum is.

We’re no strangers to incredible car museums, like this one-of-a-kind establishment in Ohio.

A dash of celebrity

Some of the cars in the collection have rather remarkable claims to fame.

One Class 1 190 DTM car was driven by Ellen Lohr, who was the first female DTM race winner.

She shot to victory in 1992 and remains the only female winner to this day.

Michael Schumacher’s championship-winning car is also present.

It’s a more glamorous spot for one of Schumacher’s winning cars than this French car graveyard.

You can also check out this abandoned F1 Grand Prix track in France.

Mike has a particular fondness for the Ferrari 412p, describing it as the ‘most beautiful car ever built’.

A statement that is almost as bold as the car itself.
