YouTubers Edwin and Will from Top Dead Center bought a Mitsubishi FTO from eBay for just $1,000.
They had big plans to restore it.
The catch? They bought the car without seeing it in person.
But after closer inspection, what seemed like a great deal turned into a much bigger challenge than they expected.

Restoration plans with Mitsubishi FTO bought from eBay
The Mitsubishi was a 1995 Japanese import with some wild features.
It had Lamborghini doors, a custom paint job with airbrushing and glitter, and even a PlayStation with TVs in the sun visors.
The car had not been on the road for eight years, but it still looked like a showstopper.
Edwin and Will said that Mitsubishi FTO even had a sister car, calling it the ‘Playboy pink’ that had attended car shows.
The guys were excited, but they soon realized things weren’t as perfect as they appeared in the photos.
After inspecting the car, they noticed it was making strange engine noises, possibly from a turbocharger, similar to the Porsche Boxster with a weird starting noise.
Then there was the flame kit, which produced enormous flames.
Then came the interior.
It had heavily customized gauges and door cards, and strange aftermarket buttons were added to the car, some of which they couldn’t figure out.
When they pressed one of these buttons, the car made a noise like a fighter jet starting up.
The car had some serious issues
Edwin and Will were excited to get the PlayStation and flame kit working, but the process wasn’t easy.
The whole adventure was posted on YouTube by Top Dead Center, where they shared the full story of this crazy car purchase and the problems they encountered.
The lesson they learned? Always do a full check before buying a car online.
