This super stylish limited edition Shelby Cobra has been designed in honor of the late Carroll Shelby.
The Shelby Cobra CSX2000 Tribute Series Roadster was unveiled at Petersen Museum in Southern California by the team at Shelby Legendary Cars.
Just 10 of the handcrafted aluminum Cobras will be produced – making them as rare as they are beautiful.
Each one will be built to ‘exacting specifications’ to stand as a tribute to Shelby himself.

The Shelby Cobra will ‘celebrate’ Carroll Shelby’s legacy
After a successful career as a racing driver, Shelby turned his hand to automotive design.
Aren’t we all glad he did?
Shelby produced some of the most beloved muscle cars in the world, such as the Ford Shelby Mustang, the Shelby Cobra, and the Shelby Mustang GT500.
More than a decade on from his death in 2012, Shelby Legendary Cars has revealed the Shelby Cobra CSX2000 Tribute Series Roadster, which it says is the ‘ultimate salute to Carroll Shelby’.
“Carroll Shelby was one of the most influential people in the history of the automobile,” said Lance Stander, CEO of Shelby Legendary Cars.
“Through his cars, racing team and driving career, Carroll became a catalyst for waves of innovation and his impact can still be felt by enthusiasts worldwide.
“We wanted to celebrate this charismatic and magnetic personality who truly changed the landscape with a car worthy of him.”
The handcrafted cars are based on original Cobra blueprints
The new model Cobras will be built using the original factory blueprints, closely following each line of the very first Shelby Cobra.
This means, the car’s cockpit, interior, one-off bodywork and authentic leaf spring suspension system, are identical to those on the prototype Shelby Cobra – making it about as close to the real thing as possible.
“My grandfather, Carroll Shelby, revered the first Shelby Cobra (CSX2000), and what that car represented,” said Aaron Shelby, Board Member of Carroll Shelby International.
“I’m honored that Carroll’s legacy will live on through this limited run of cars.
“Other than the patina on the original 1962 car, it’s virtually impossible to discern any differences between it and the Tribute Shelby Cobra roadster.”
Each of the 10 cars will come configured for a small block Ford V8 with a Borg Warner T10 transmission.
Customers will also be able to choose what color they want for their Cobra – although it’s hard to look past that classic blue, isn’t it?
