A South African man built a DIY Lamborghini Countach replica that was fitted with a Toyota V12 engine.
Most supercar replicas just recreate the appearance of the car, but not its performance.
However, this Lamborghini Countach replica is a DIY supercar that was done right.

DIY Lamborghini Countach replica
Although it’s not a real Lamborghini Countach, it still has the right number of cylinders.
This car is currently being built by Gareth Bargate, who picked up the replica in a bit of a rough shape.
The car had decent paint but was lacking mechanicals, doors, lights, and much more.
While we have seen many amazing Lamborghini replicas, no one has tried to put a real V12 engine to match such a car.
It’s not just any V12 engine, either – it’s the one and only Toyota V12.

Taken from a Toyota Century luxury sedan, the 5.0-liter 1GZ-FE V12 produces 276 horsepower and 355lb-ft of torque.
Although the car had 200,000 miles on it, a compression test and oil pressure reading showed the V12 still had some life in it.
With that many miles covered, the Toyota Century qualified for the special stickers given out by the automaker to high-mileage cars.
But now the beating heart of such a high mileage car is essentially being transferred to a fake Lamborghini Countach.
However, it seems worth it, since the Countach is one of the most iconic cars made by Lamborghini.
This is not the only time someone has tried to make a Lamborghini replica out of other cars.
Just last year, we saw a crazy Lamborghini Aventador mash-up made out of Toyota, Mitsubishi, and BMW vehicles.
