The Lamborghini Diablo Jota is a special car, but it’s even more special for the Hess family.

They have an extraordinary story to share about their journey to reunite with the car.

Released in 1995, this iconic vehicle held sentimental value beyond its rarity and luxury for Moritz Hess and his family.

The car represented cherished memories and a deep connection to their past.

The story began when Moritz’s father purchased the Lamborghini Diablo Jota, painted in a striking blue hue, from a dealership in Florence, Italy.

As Moritz grew older, his attachment to the car grew stronger, and of course, his father was even more attached to the car.

However, to grab a good real estate deal, the family parted ways with the beloved Diablo Jota in 2003.

Moritz, then just eight years old, was heartbroken to see the car go.

Of course, who would rejoice to see a rare Lamborghini like this go, especially when the car even has sentimental values attached to it?

Over the years, the memory of the Lamborghini lingered, igniting a determination within Moritz to track it down.

With only 28 Jota kits ever made, the search seemed daunting. Yet, Moritz refused to give up hope.

He explored social media and car blogs, leaving no stone unturned to find his father’s prized possession. Finally, one day he discovered a lead in Japan.

Now, it was time to crack the deal!

Negotiations took place, spanning months of back-and-forth discussions. But Moritz remained steadfast in getting his childhood Lamborghini Diablo Jota back.

Eventually, his persistence prevailed, and he was able to reclaim the Lamborghini Diablo Jota.

Now it was the time for this child to surprise his dad.

He called his dad and showed him the car, making both, father and son break down in happiness.

Moritz’s father finally sat behind the wheel once again and – obviously – so many good old memories of the past flooded back, accompanied by a sense of gratitude for his son’s devotion.

Whether it’s the story of Hess family or dad building a Lamborghini Vision GT for his son, cars can sometimes be the greatest parts of our lives.
