This is why the Ferrari Roma by Mansory makes sense

This lime green creation is the new Ferrari Roma by Mansory.

It’s brash, but also brilliant.

Mansory calls it the ‘Tempesta Verde‘, which is Italian for ‘Green Storm’.

The German tuner has actually already made a similar car based on the Ferrari 812.

That model is called the ‘Tempesta Nera’.

Which is funny because that car is not actually Nera (‘black’), it’s red.

But we digress.

To create the Green Storm, Mansory almost completely overhauled the Roma.

They replaced most of the panels with custom-made ones to make the car look wider and ‘angrier’.

We suspect it may also have been an excuse to use carbon fiber, because both Mansory and its customers love that.

There are new front and rear bumpers, a new rear spoiler, new side skirts and a gigantic diffuser.

The outlandish two-tone paint in green and white completes the package.

The cabin is even crazier.

It combines white and green leather upholstery with carbon fiber inserts.

The Ferrari Roma is an Italian car – we all know that – but Mansory really wanted to hammer the point home.

For that reason, the company added Italian flag decorations just about everywhere.

There’s a thin Italian flag stripe that starts from the front diffuser and follows the entire length of the car all the way to the rear spoiler.

In addition to that, there are Italian flags on either side of the center console tunnel as well as on the paddle shifters.

Even the gear selector is adorned with the Italian flag.

Obviously, Mansory couldn’t make all these look-at-me cosmetic changes without doing something with the engine.

Under the hood, you’ll find the same 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 that powers the factory model.

However, the Mansory Tempesta Verde delivers 700 hp, which is around 90 hp more than the original Roma.

As a result, the Tempesta Verde does 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds.

Why does this car make sense?

Because it’s a supercar and supercars aren’t supposed to be understated and dull.

They’re supposed to be loud and ‘out there’.

And, well, this Mansory is definitely loud.

And expensive.

A standard Ferrari Roma will set you back $250,000 but you can expect the Mansory Tempesta Verde to cost at least twice as much.
