A moose broke into a BMW performance shop in Sweden, causing more damage than the proverbial bull in a china shop.
The moose caused chaos by stomping on several other cars.
Its trail of automotive devastation included a BMW 850i that was having a full restoration.
Thankfully nobody was hurt – including the moose.

The CEO of Schmiedmann BMW specialists witnessed the chaos but stayed safe by hiding away from the spooked moose.
While we don’t have much information on the moose, what we do have is the footage and knowledge that a male moose can weigh up to 700kg (1,500lbs).
The moose population of Sweden is around 400,000 so seeing one isn’t rare – but letting one at this proximity in a BMW performance shop is less common.
In its panic, it trampled several cars including the BMW 850i.
Thankfully the moose eventually escaped into the woods unharmed after miraculously crossing the E6/E20 highway outside the shop.
That wouldn’t happen with the humanoid robots making waves at BMW factories.
The BMW 850i
The unfortunate car had gone in for a full restoration but came out in far worse shape than it had been to start with – thankfully another restoration that went to plan brought Elvis Presley’s BMW back to life after 50 years.
“CEO Viktor Örtegren was at his company over the weekend to put his private speedboat into winter storage when he heard some loud noises,” Schmiedmann’s product photographer Morten Christensen told one outlet.
“He peeked around the corner of the speedboat, which was now inside the building, thinking a customer had come by.
“But just as he came around the boat, a huge moose jumped past him.
“Viktor was shocked and immediately hid.”
He then saw it rear onto its hind legs and slam its front hooves on the hood of the freshly repainted, nearly restored BMW 850i.
When the BMW performance shop had to make the awkward phone call to inform the 850i owner – at first they thought it was some kind of weird prank.
Thank goodness they have the video footage of the incident and prior photos of progress to back up their version of events.
This isn’t the first time a dangerous animal turned up in an unexpected place – with a huge croc shutting down a US Navy base.
