The Mustang Mach-E GT gets a hard time for not being a “real” Mustang.
But there’s lots to like about the untamed electric SUV.
These are the top five reasons why we love it.

5. It’s stylish
The longer you spend with the Mustang Mach-E GT, the more you see how much it resembles the original Mustang.
It’s got all the familiar Mustang bits, like the long hood and muscular haunches, as well those signature rear lights.
It also gets typical EV bits, too, like a blanked-off grille, and a tall upright body.
4. It’s spacious and versatile
Step inside the Mustang Mach-E GT and you realize just how spacious it is.
Because it’s got a flat floor in the second row, there’s plenty of headroom and more than enough space to sit five adults comfortably over short distances.
It’s also a hoarder’s heaven, with loads of storage cubbies for this and that, as well as two trucks: a small one up front, and a full-size one at the back.
3. It’s filled with tech
The star attraction of the SUV has to be its impressive infotainment system.
Sitting in the middle of the dash, the 15.5-inch touchscreen is both responsive and easy to use.
Unlike Teslas, the Mach-E GT has a smaller 10.2-inch display behind the steering wheel highlighting all the key information, so you’re never distracted by the larger central screen.
2. It’s an engaging drive
The Mustang Mach-E GT doesn’t drive like your typical Mustang, but it’s a 2.2-tonne SUV at the end of the day.
That doesn’t mean it’s not fast (0-100km/h / 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds) and fun.
In fact, it’s more sporty to drive than most of its rivals, and feels properly enthusiastic on twisty roads.
1. It’s got good range
Sitting at the top of the model range, the Mustang Mach-E GT gets a stonking 480bhp and a 91kWh battery, returning a range of 498 kilometers (310 miles).
Not only that, but the Mach-E GT also gets 150kW charging, so you can charge up to 80 percent in around 45 minutes.
If you’re in a rush, that charging speed will add 117 kilometers (73 miles) of range in just ten minutes.
