Nicole Kidman drives a Subaru but her hubby gave her a Lambo

Nicole Kidman has admitted that she prefers to drive a Subaru, despite her husband buying her a Lamborghini.

The actress is very loved up with her husband, Keith Urban, and has been opening up about their relationship.

Speaking to Victoria Beckham for Vogue Australia, the Eyes Wide Shut star revealed why she opted not to drive the car she was gifted.

Nicole Kidman’s candid car confession

The 57-year-old actress said: “So here’s the thing. My husband bought me a Lamborghini.

“But I drive a Subaru and he drives the Lamborghini.”

Beckham responded: “I love the idea of Nicole Kidman pulling up somewhere and the car doors–because they’re the car doors that go up, right?”

Kidman clarified that the Lambo in question was an SUV and not a sports car.

However, she still maintained it was a better fit for her country-singer husband.

This wouldn’t make them the first Hollywood couple to see cars differently – Conan O’Brien and Lisa Kudrow had clashing views on the Ford Taurus.

Kidman said: “I think that’s why he bought it for me…He loves fast cars, he loves any cars. That’s his thing.

“He’s a Queensland boy, came from nothing. Sort of the same thing as David [Beckham] where you go, ‘I’m going to build myself up and make myself who I am.’

“Like you, like me. We’re self-made, all four of us, right?”

Beckham mentioned that he and Kidman’s husbands had very similar interests: “Cars and football.”

It’s worth noting that the priciest car the Beckhams owned was a fully customized Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe.

Love and Car-riage

Kidman and Urban tied the knot back in 2006, and have had two children since – Sunday, 16, and Faith, 13.

From her previous marriage to Tom Cruise, Kidman has two adult children, Bella, 31, and Connor, 29.

Much like Urban, her first husband is a massive car fan too – having accumulated a $50 million car collection.

Now that’s a need for speed if I ever heard of one.

Kidman’s choice of a Subaru is remarkably low-key for a Hollywood star.

In her interview for Vogue Australia, she admitted there was only one thing she needed: “I do like a bit of air conditioning.”

With a net worth of $250 million, it’s fair to say Kidman can afford a car with air conditioning.
