Nilu27 is a brand-new hypercar brand founded by the former head of design for Koenigsegg and Bugatti.

Taking a page out of Horacio Pagani’s book, Sasha Selipanov has launched his own brand.

The brand has even released a short video teasing its new hypercar.

The new hypercar brand will unveil its first vehicle on 15 August, during the 2024 Monterey Car Week.

Nilu27 plans to build cars that are ‘in equal measure beautiful and brutal’ – according to the brand’s mission statement.

And looking at the teaser, it seems that the former Koenigsegg designer has not held back at all.

The car features gullwing doors and a fully exposed rear suspension.

It also has a rear end that reminds us of the Pagani Utopia.

The Nilu27 hypercar also seems to take inspiration from the Aston Martin Valkyrie.

The teaser also showcases how the hypercar sounds, but there’s no information about the engine itself.

However, the brand captioned the post: “Unfazed by digitalization, electrification, and other distractions, we’re focusing on the ultimate automotive experience with a healthy dose of ‘holy s***’ mixed in for good measure.”

It seems the hypercar will be completely gas-powered with a very powerful naturally aspirated engine to provide this ultimate automotive experience.

With over two decades in the automotive industry, Sasha Selipanov has worked on some notable supercars.

Selipanov began his career in the Volkswagen Group, where he contributed to the design of the Lamborghini Huracan.

He later became Bugatti’s head of exterior design and penned the Bugatti Chiron and the wild Vision Gran Turismo.

He went on to become the head of design for Koenigsegg in 2019.

During his time there, he contributed to the design of Koenigsegg Gemera, CC850, and the Genesis Essentia concept.

His first new Nilu27 hypercar looks amazing and we can’t wait to see more from the brand.
