In a unique video, you can see an airplane during take-off, but what’s so special about that?
The person in the video records the actual speed of the plane as it accelerates.
The flight reaches an amazing speed before finally soaring into the sky.
And when we say ‘amazing speed,’ we are comparing it to some of the best sports cars.

Mind-blowing speed of the airplane during take-off
An aircraft weighs thousands of pounds and carries hundreds of passengers, so it needs a lot of power and a good run to lift off.
The video, uploaded by a Reddit user, shows the speed recorded using an app on their phone.
The speed starts from 0 and gradually reaches 373 km/h as the plane takes off. Isn’t that incredible?
To put it in perspective, 373 km/h is what some of the fastest sports cars can achieve.
Comparing the flight’s speed to supercars
The Porsche 918 Spyder has a top speed of around 345 km/h, the Ferrari LaFerrari reaches around 350 km/h, and Lamborghini Aventador SVJ runs at about 370 km/h.
Seeing a plane outpacing these supercars is something to think about.
Of course, there are cars that can exceed 400 km/h, but watching a plane, which is much heavier, reach such speeds on the ground is astonishing.
It can certainly be like comparing apples to oranges, but that’s what it is.
Watching an airplane take-off never fails to amaze aviation enthusiasts, much like the Boeing 747, which takes off with such power that it can literally push people back.
You might be curious about the app used to record this incredible speed.
It’s called Speedometer 55 GPS Speed & HUD and is available for iPhone users.
Similar apps are available for Android users as well.
So, the next time you travel, you might want to try recording the take-off speed yourself.
Airplanes are fascinating machines, and videos like this remind us of the incredible engineering behind them.
