A YouTuber purchased a Lamborghini Murciélago for just $150,000. It was quite a bargain, but the car came with its flaws.

The Lamborghini had a crash history, and the door on the passenger side had some major issues.

The car was up for a complete makeover, and now it was time to fix the issues with the damaged door.

Documented on B is for Build, the YouTuber revealed the restoration of the crashed door.

Fixing the door damaged in the crash

The door was completely mangled on the bottom, the handle was broken, and the metal sheet was completely deformed.

As a result, the door was taken out, and the restoration started by cutting out the mangled bottom part.

He then cut the large deformed metal sheet, only to realize that the damage extended further than expected.

The damage from the crash reached the window regulator, which had been bent out of shape.

The issue further extended as he mistakenly severed the steel cable that regulated the window.

Despite the increased load of work, he decided to fix the cable himself and brought a new replacement cable.

However, when he installed the new cable, the windows, though functional, would get stuck midway when moving up and down.

The only way left to fix the window was to remove the door on the driver’s side – the one not being part of the crash, and use its cable measurements as a guide.

Thankfully, this approach worked, and he was able to fix the window mechanism successfully.

With this, it was time to move ahead with fixing the door handle and replacing the removed metal sheet with the new one.

Although there was still so much restoration work left, he was determined to take the car to the upcoming SEMA show.

Once the restoration is complete, the crashed Lamborghini Murciélago will shine like new once again.
