There’s been no shortage of GTA VI leaks.
That being said, we’ve gone years without actually hearing anything official – until now.
Last year, GTA VI gameplay footage was leaked when a hacker reportedly breached developer Rockstar Games’ Slack and Confluence servers.

Someone ‘illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information’ including footage from the development of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto, the developers explained in a statement after the ‘network intrusion’.
“We are extremely disappointed to have any details of our next game shared with you all in this way,” they said.
“Our work on the next Grand Theft Auto game will continue as planned and we remain as committed as ever to delivering an experience to you, our players, that truly exceeds your expectations.
“We will update everyone again soon and, of course, will properly introduce you to this next game when it is ready. We want to thank everyone for their ongoing support in this situation.”
Fast forward to the present day, the GTA VI trailer was released early because of, you guessed it, leaks.
Most surprisingly, though, the latest leak wasn’t shared by a hacker.
In fact, a Rockstar director’s son leaked GTA VI footage in a shock TikTok video.
Then yesterday (Monday 4 December), social media was awash with more leaked versions of the trailer.
But as fast as they were taken down, more kept popping up.
Rockstar eventually uploaded the official version to YouTube, meaning fans could enjoy the trailer in full high definition.
