Saudi Arabia unveiled its first five-star luxury train called Dream of the Desert

Saudi Arabia is set to get its first-ever luxury train service – the Dream of the Desert.

This high-end train is set to make its first jaunt out at the end of 2026. 

It will depart from Riyadh and run to Al Quaryyat. 

What’s more, the impressive details don’t end with the breath-taking views.

The Dream of the Desert – a time-traveling journey through Saudi Arabia

The route will take one to two days and runs through Al Qassim, Hail, Al Jouf and terminates in Jordan. 

It’s set to be made by Arsenale Group – an Italian company – and it will be commissioned by Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR).

It really is quite an impressive train too, with amazing interior design features setting the scene for the picturesque routes. 

It will house a whopping 34 luxury suites in 14 carriages. 

Inside, the artwork will tell a story that words can’t

The interior has been designed by Aline Asma d’Arman, with her vision crafting gold ceiling bars fronted with tiles and drips of Saudi tradition. 

The corridors will be covered in Saudi tradition too, with extra special art creations being commissioned especially to line the walls for it’s all-important voyages through the Middle Eastern surroundings.

You can also expect extra special dishes that will excite not just your eyes, but your tastebuds too, with culinary masterpieces being whipped up by both local and international star chefs. 

The project is set to create a new way to travel in lashings of style, with the project injecting a whopping investment of around $53 million (SAR 200 million) towards travel on the horizon. 

The route will feature both desert landscapes and city views, proving to offer something special for everyone. 

The stylish train is set to make tracks in 2026, so mark your calendars for a train ride you won’t forget.
