SBX Cars – the premier platform for buying and selling rare and exotic cars – has announced that Rogelio Choy has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer.

Launched by our very own Supercar Blondie – Alex Hirschi – and Nik Hirschi earlier this year, SBX Cars is the only digital auction platform specializing in providing rare and collectible vehicles.

From timeless classic motors to modern supercars, the platform allows the international car-collecting community to auction hypercars and luxury transportation conveniently and time-efficiently.

Since launching, SBX Cars has sold a host of luxurious vehicles, including a Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge, a super-rare Zagato, and a mint-condition 1991 Ferrari Testarossa to name but a few.

Rogelio Choy says he’s ‘honored’ to join SBX Cars

Choy joins the company with a wealth of experience in digital marketplaces, including a former role as CEO of Cars & Bids.

His appointment comes as the platform gears up its ambitious global expansion plan, including a significant capital raise in 2025.

“Rogelio really gets the power of the creator economy and how it builds trust and connection,” Supercar Blondie said.

“His experience with digital marketplaces is exactly what we need to take SBX Cars to the next level.

“Together, we’re making it easier and more exciting for people to buy and sell the world’s coolest cars.”

Sharing his enthusiasm for the new role, Choy said he’s ‘honored’ to be at the helm.

“I am deeply inspired by the brand, its mission, and the incredible team behind it.

“My experience in marketplaces has shown me the transformative power of connecting people with their passions, and SBX Cars is uniquely positioned to do just that on a global scale,” he said.

“I’m honored to lead the company into its next phase of growth and innovation.”

Choy succeeds co-founder Nik Hirschi, who is moving into a new role focused on strategic business development.

He will remain on the SBX Cars’ board of directors.

“Building SBX Cars has been an incredible journey, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished. Rogelio’s leadership marks an exciting new chapter for the company,” Hirschi said.

“His extensive management and operational experiences will allow us to deliver an even better experience for our global and sophisticated customer.”

Choy started in his new role on December 9, 2024.
