The long-awaited Tesla Cybertruck might make it to production this year after all.

A new video has popped up, showing a driver testing the Cybertruck’s steering capabilities in California.

The video even caught the attention of Elon Musk, who responded by saying the Cybertruck would have a better turning circle than the Model Y.

In the video, posted by The Kilowatts on Twitter, we can see the driver of the prototype making tight turns and wiggling the steering wheel from side to side.

It almost makes the truck look like it’s dancing and suggests it will be incredibly nimble, despite its size.

Since the footage was posted to Twitter, it has garnered a lot of attention.

“Wow they definitely knew you were on to them. They accelerated to get away from you and did the jiggle before bouncing back to HQ,” Tesla Raj said.

Others pointed out the rear wheel steering too.

“Holy smokes, that last turn was epic! That was some out-of-this-world stuff right there. my brain is still trying to comprehend what I just saw,” David Roth said.

In footage taken earlier this year, we saw the Cybertruck doing a private demonstration at Tesla’s Texas Gigafactory, during which we could see the wheels turning in varying directions.

That video gave us our best look yet at its four-wheel steering capability.

While Musk’s promises can’t always be trusted, it would seem his promise that the Cybertruck would have both front and rear wheel steer is true.

Musk also said the Cybertruck would be able to “drive diagonally like a crab”, but we’re yet to see that.

Musk continues to promise the long-awaited EV will be a “damn fine machine” despite the many setbacks it has suffered.

The truck is set to go into production later this year, but given the constant delays, we’re not holding our breath.
