The 2010 Lamborghini Murciélago LP670 SV might be banned in all 50 US states, but there are still ways Americans can get their hands on this amazing car.
The rules for importing European cars like this are strict.
However, car enthusiasts have found some tricks to bring them in legally.
YouTuber VINwiki – known for sharing these secrets – explains a few helpful methods.

How Americans can buy the banned cars in the US
The simplest way is to wait until the car turns 25 years old.
At that point, the US allows European cars to be imported without major issues.
VINwiki shared how his Lamborghini Diablo made it into the country this way, needing just a few easy custom paperwork steps.
Another option is using the ‘show and display’ rule, which allows rare cars to be brought in for exhibition purposes.
Even Bill Gates used this trick to import his Porsche 959.
Under this rule, the car can only be driven up to 2,500 miles per year, but authorities are unlikely to check the mileage.
However, if the car was built for the US market during its production year, it doesn’t qualify for show and display, which rules out models like the Murciélago.

A third option is obtaining a letter of compliance from the manufacturer.
This letter confirms that the car meets US safety and emission standards, allowing it to enter legally.
But sometimes the manufacturers might not provide this letter.
Finally, there’s federalization.
This involves hiring a federalization agent to modify the car to meet US standards, which can be very costly – up to $250,000 or maybe even more.
There was also another trick mentioned – bringing the car in on a temporary import visa.
This allows the car to stay in the US for a year, during which it can be driven freely.
After a year, the car can be sent back to Canada, where imports are allowed after 15 years, making it a practical solution for car enthusiasts.
While it may take some effort to bring the Lamborghini Murciélago into the country, these clever tricks make it easier for passionate car lovers.
