The latest VR headset from Meta lets you build virtual LEGO in your real-life home.

Yesterday Meta announced the launch of the Quest 3.

It’s a huge improvement from its Quest 2, with better graphics and a sleeker design.

Meta also released an upgrade that will make your augmented reality experiences way cooler.

“This is the first mainstream headset built for mixed reality,” said Meta.

Mixed reality is when your VR headset allows you to interact with your actual surroundings.

The older Quest 2 only allowed you to view the real world in black and white.

This meant any virtual interaction with the real world felt a bit, well, not real.

Now the passthrough feature is in color and Meta is making games and apps especially for its new mixed reality world.

Last year LEGO launched Bricktales, a puzzle adventure game where players use LEGO bricks to revamp an amusement park and go on adventures.

Just like actual LEGO, adults and kids alike were enchanted by the game.

Now the Quest 3 will come with a special version of Bricktales.

Instead of building in a fantasy world, you’ll be able to build incredible LEGO creations on your living room table.

Or your bedroom floor or dining room table.

Basically, any flat surface around you, as the Quest 3 has the ability to scan your surroundings.

This is useful both to seek out gameplay areas and to warn you of obstacles in case your LEGO build gets a bit heated.

You’ll be able to see the game’s signature dioramas placed directly in your space.

Then you’ll be able to build, manipulating the iconic LEGO bricks right in front of you.

“In each spot you are given a set of bricks and it’s up to you to figure out a unique build that will work,” LEGO said.

Other augmented reality games include Stranger Things, where portals will seem to appear in your actual ceiling.

You can also hunt ghosts coming out of your walls from the comfort of your living room in the Ghostbusters game.
