This is likely one of the most incredible Mercedes project cars ever, because someone built this Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series from scratch using a body kit replica ordered from China.
Buying the original body kit from Mercedes itself can be a tad bit too convenient — and super expensive.
That’s precisely why this YouTuber tried to save money and ordered a replica from Temu.
Not only was it cheap, but it was also more than enough to make a wrecked AMG GT look as original as any other Black Series.

Man built Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series using parts from China
YouTuber Chris from the channel Chris Slix began his journey with this Mercedes-AMG GT a while back, and the car now finally looks like a Black Series, according to his latest video about it.
As any enthusiast would, he first looked for a body kit from Mercedes itself, but that costed well above $145,000 alone.
He later found the same thing — a replica — on Temu that he could get for a tenth of that price.
Unlike this apocalyptic Cybertruck modification, this project was supposed to look close to stock.
Naturally, Chris was successful, but there were some hurdles to cross.
The body kit didn’t fit perfectly, so he sought professional help to correct the panel gaps and finalize the paint job.
It was pretty much done then, but Chris wanted it to be perfect.
The definition of perfect in this case included making the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series get a PPF coating to protect it from harm.
A few too many finishing touches for the Mercedes
Moreover, he also got a new custom set of wheels despite finalizing one earlier.
This, perhaps, was the coolest part about these ‘final touches.’
Created by a UK-based firm called Wheelmania, these were one-off two-piece wheels that practically embodied the car’s soul.
Yes, that means a lot of shine and chrome was involved.
The rear got a 21-inch Michelin Pilot Sport pair, while the front had a 20-inch pair.
After a handful of more final touches, this Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series was essentially complete.
It did take quite a lot of effort and money, so you might want to consider some alternatives.
