This Rolls-Royce Phantom VII has an interesting story, and it’s covered on Instagram by an account called supercarsofkolkata.

The story takes us back to 2012, when a renowned film producer and businessman, Gautam Kundu, purchased this iconic piece.

Like anyone else, Gautam was thrilled to buy this piece of luxury.

But little did he know, his ownership would be short-lived.

Gautam Kundu, chairman of Rose Valley Group of Companies, was soon accused of defrauding investors of a staggering ₹17,000 crores.

That’s approximately $20.4 million at the current exchange rate.

This case made huge headlines at the time, leading to the arrests of Kundu and his family.

This car was not only Kundu’s most luxurious and joyous ride but also a part of his business life.

His Rolls-Royce Phantom VII made several appearances in many ad campaigns and promotional events for the company.

While most of the property owned by him was seized by the authorities, this gem by Rolls-Royce is still parked at a hotel in Kolkata.

Even better, that hotel also belongs to Gautam Kundu.

The story of this poor Rolls-Royce resembles that of a Mercedes S600 Limousine that remains abandoned on the side of a road in Pune, India.

Many years have passed, but surprisingly, the condition of this Rolls-Royce Phantom VII remains remarkably good.

From its interior and exterior color to its tires, everything appears to be in excellent condition.

The only issue is a crack on the windshield, which needs replacement.

After a good service, the car will be as good as new.

Only time will tell if this luxury automobile will hit the roads again or remain in the waiting for many more years.
