This decrepit building is the abandoned Wayne Manor from Batman Begins.

It was used as a filming location for the movie, starring as the personal residence of Bruce Wayne / Batman.

The mansion was once valued at $31 million but a recent video shared by deserted.places shows the house in complete decay.

Known as the Mentmore Towers, the country house is located in Buckinghamshire, England and it combines classic Victorian style with Baroque elements.

The 70-room mansion was once owned by the Rothschild family, before being sold off to a property developer who wanted to turn it into a 5-star hotel.

Clearly something went wrong along the way and the house is now empty and falling apart.

Aside from its sheer size, the home was used for the film because it has secret passages and rooms hidden behind bookshelves and walls.

As this is considered a historic building, there’s a public body of the English government in charge of keeping track of the state of the house.

In 2021, the home was placed on the ‘At Risk’ register in the UK.

But nothing has changed since and things are getting worse.

Aside from Batman Begins, the house has appeared in several films and TV shows, including The Mummy Returns in 2001 and Johnny English in 2003.

It was even used as a filming location for a variety of music videos.

Unfortunately, it looks like the mansion will just be left to rot.

Apart from the price tag, a full restoration would cost millions and no one seems to be interested.
