Satisfying - Watch as this car gets first wash in decades
The Late Brake Show

After spending the better part of three decades in a derelict and crumbling building, this abandoned BMW E30 has been rescued and given a well-needed scrub.

There are fewer things in life more satisfying than seeing a filthy car get a good old clean.

In this case, this BMW E30 had been found in one of the most dangerous derelict buildings possible.

But before it was buried beneath rubble and dust, the car was pulled out and given a warm bath.

Abandoned BMW E30 gets rescued from derelict building after 30 years

The BMW 3 Series is quite an icon throughout Europe and somewhat of an antique in the US.

Still, many have been abandoned throughout the years and in this age of restoring vintage classics, the 3 Series has been a popular choice to remodel.

This time, YouTube restorers, WD Detailing, found an abandoned BMW E30 and pledged to rescue it. Although that was easier said than done.

The derelict building in which it was found was rotting to an unsafe level, where floorboards were falling through and numerous holes in the floor were visible.

However, they soon found the car in the garage, aptly reading ‘EWW’ on its numberplate, and it was left in quite the state.

An initial tow appeared to break the rear wheel, showing the extent of the damages, but the abandoned BMW E30 was soon loaded onto their trailer to be escorted back.

Its first wash in three decades

After safely escorting the car back to the shop, WD Detailing got to work cleaning this bad boy back up – not like the Porsche 911 GT3 RS owner whose wish is to make their car as dirty as humanely possible.

Using their custom products, the team scrubbed every inch of the car, from its body and interior to everything under the hood.

The result was impeccable.

It wouldn’t be WD Detailing’s first miracle either, as they previously made a Dodge Challenger 340 owner cry by bringing the rotten car back to life.

Not all of this effort was in vain either, as the car isn’t going to be scrapped, despite its wheel issues.

“Our buddy Bryan owns an E30 and he came by the shop that he needs for his own. The rest of the car will be going to someone else and will live on through them,” they said.

All in all, a happy ending for this abandoned BMW E30 that was destined to never see light again.
