The most popular color options for the 2022 Chevy Corvette have been revealed, as well as the performance options buyers can’t go without.
The National Corvette Museum released the production statistics ahead of the launch of the 2023 model.
Almost 26,000 2022 Corvette C8s were built, split almost exactly 50-50 between coupes and convertibles with 13,451 and 12,380 units respectively.

The Corvette C8 Stingray has been around for three years but the hype is still strong.
It’s powered by a 490-hp 6.2-liter V8 located right behind the seats, making it the world’s first mid-engined Corvette.
They’re still selling like hot cakes and they’re very hard to get, mostly because production can barely keep up with demand.

So what do customers want?
Torch Red is by far the most popular option with 4,147 examples, followed by Arctic White (3,603), Hypersonic Grey (3,291) and Red Mist (3,274).
The least popular paint option is Caffeine, with only 385 units produced.
Chevy Corvette colors – interior
Customers tend to be a bit more conservative when it comes to the upholstery because most opt for the black interior (9,813 units) followed by Adrenaline Red with 6,669 units.
Fun fact: Adrenaline Red is the second most popular option but the other red available, called ‘Morello Red’, is actually the least popular with only 295 units.
Something else worth noting: 17,727 customers were happy enough to pay $6,000+ for the Z51 performance package and 22,441 – that’s 86 percent of the total – wanted the performance exhaust system.
The Corvette C8 comes in with a relatively low starting price at $65,595, making it a lot less expensive than any equivalent mid-engined sportscar with comparable performance figures.
You can spend a bit more if you go crazy with the option list or if you pick the 1LT Coupe, the high-performance variant, but even in that case you’d be looking at a price tag of around $100,000.
