The Rock is famous for sharing his wealth.

Having spent eight years as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has gone on to become one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors.

What sets The Rock apart from the others in his pay bracket is what he chooses to do with his money.

The philanthropic star has donated millions to charities and individuals alike.

He also repaid the man who helped him buy his first car when they lived in a trailer together, by giving him a whole Ford F-150 of his own.

When the wrestling star was a teen he found himself homeless in Nashville.

A wrestling manager called Bruno Lauer let him stay in his tiny room in a motel until he found his feet.

Johnson says this generous move changed the trajectory of his life.

Years later, when he was starting out in his wrestling career Lauer took him in again, this time letting Johnson share his trailer.

One day Johnson saw a Ford Thunderbird was for sale, priced at just $80.

With no cash of his own, he asked Lauer if he could help him out.

While they managed to hustle the car for just $40, Johnson never forgot Lauer’s generosity.

He recently decided to give his old friend a Christmas gift he would never forget.

“Since you helped me ‘buy’ my first car, I figured I could return the favor,” he said.

His friend was overwhelmed with emotion when he realised the truck was for him.

“Nobody’s ever done anything like this before,” he said.

“I can’t believe it.”

This is not the first or last time The Rock has gone out of his way to improve someone’s life.

After hearing that a UFC fighter from Zimbabwe had been sleeping on his gym’s couch he bought him his own flat.

He’s also given cars away to fans, bought his cousin a house, and more.

And with a net worth of $800 million, we can’t see him changing his generous gifting style any time soon.
