To Honda, ‘Best Car Brand’ awards are, naturally, a pretty big deal.
The award – handed out by U.S. News and World Report – is given to the best overall brand across four categories: cars, SUVs, trucks and luxury vehicles.
The winner of the prestigious award is the brand that performs best across performance, interior quality, safety and reliability within the above categories.
And for the fourth year running – the best brand in the U.S. was the Japanese manufacturing giants.

Honda drive to four-in-a-row success
Honda has, for the fourth successive year in a row, dominated the ‘Best Car Brand’ awards.
There are two big driving forces behind Honda’s huge successes.
First, the Civic.
In considering the criteria for the U.S. News and World Report, the 11th-generation Civic won the award for ‘Best Compact Car for the Money.’

In addition, the 11th-generation Civic has received rave reviews across the board.
It is also, according to Honda, their best-selling car in the United States since 1973.
The second driving force for the company is their Accord model.
Much like its smaller sibling, the Civic, the Accord has also received rave reviews all around.
Famed for its reliability, fuel efficiency and handling, the Accord won ‘Best Midsize Car for the Money.’
Honda’s strategy going forward
In spite of their award-winning success, Honda has been emphatic in looking to the future.
The Japanese brand has been clear that electrification is a big part of their future going forward.
In fact, the fourth-generation hybrid drivetrain now represents more than 50 percent of Accord sales in the U.S.
The new 2025 hybrid Civic is also estimated to ultimately represent around 40 percent of all Civic sales in the United States by the end of the year.
All in all, it’s fair to say that this has been an excellent start to the year for Honda.
Will the Japanese giants make it a drive for five in 2026?
