Have you ever wondered what makes the legendary 1989 Lamborghini Countac so unique?

From its impressive design to features you won’t see in modern cars, this classic is full of surprises.

The car was super advanced for its time, making it a valuable collectible today.

Especially considering there were only 1,999 models ever made.

Unique features of Lamborghini Countach

So what does the 1989 Countach have to offer?

For starters, the Countach has NACA ducts on its sides.

These weren’t just for show – you could actually stick your hand inside them.

What’s more, they connected to the vented air intake on the top, which helped to cool the engine.

Another impressive feature was a latch near the driver-side door jamb.

Open it, and you’ll reveal a decent-sized storage space under the rear wing.

The iconic scissor doors were also a fan favorite.

They opened upwards with the push of a button cleverly hidden inside the NACA duct.

When you step inside the car, you need to be a bit careful as it’s easy to scrape your foot on the leather-wrapped AC vent near the floor.

A video showing all these quirks was uploaded on YouTube by Lets Drive It, and it’s a must-watch.

Inside, you’ll find a 5-speed gated manual transmission.

And it’s a dogleg gearbox, meaning the first gear is in the bottom-left position.

Next to the gearshift, there’s an ashtray and the power window controls.

Down in the footwell, you’ll spot all three pedals, and using the clutch feels like a full workout.

Features that modern supercars lack

Lamborghini makes their cars truly special.

Just like the Countach with its unique features, Aventador models are designed to adapt to the driver’s unique driving style.

Other old-school touches include power seat adjustments hidden under a panel by the door and pop-up headlights straight out of the 1980s.

However, don’t expect to see much in the rearview mirror, as the giant wing blocks all visibility.

The Lamborghini Countach may be outdated by today’s standards, but its charm lies in these odd and fascinating features that today’s cars lack.
