Lamborghini’s V10 replacement is a V8 hybrid with 10,000 RPM

Lamborghini has recently announced the successor to its traditional V10 engine – an all-new V8 hybrid.

This new engine will power the Lamborghini 634, the successor to the Huracán model.

This new car will be a new addition to the High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) lineup at Lamborghini.

The brand is committed to electrification while delivering high performance.

Not too long ago, they introduced the Lamborghini Lanzador, the brand’s first all-electric car.

Now, with the replacement of the V10 with a V8 hybrid engine, they are keeping up with that trend.

The V8 hybrid engine featured in the Lamborghini 634 will have three electric motors and an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

This gearbox first appeared in the Lamborghini Revuelto. But now, it has been optimized for this new model, ensuring a maximum output of over 900 CV.

The design for this latest creation came straight from Sant’Agata Bolognese, the hallowed part of Italy renowned for being the headquarters of Lamborghini.

Lamborghini 634 Power Rivals Racing Cars

One of the standout features of this engine is its ability to deliver 800 CV between 9,000 and 9,750 RPM.

The massive power will help the car reach a maximum engine speed of 10,000 RPM.

This is a level typically reserved for racing engines, making the Lamborghini 634 a unique and powerful beast among the other cars of its kind.

The maximum torque of 730 Nm between 4,000 and 7,000 RPM will further enhance performance.

The rear electric system will include an inverter and an electric unit that will generate high torque and power.

Even though it’s small and light, it’s bound to produce up to 300 Nm and 110 kW at 3,500 RPM.

Lamborghini has also focused on the sound and feel of the new V8.

They promise to deliver a thundering roar, despite V8 being a hybrid engine.

The Lamborghini 634 is set to launch sometime in 2024, and it will be a major milestone in the brand’s journey towards electrification.
