Mark Zuckerberg’s top-secret Hawaii compound is proof that he’s getting prepared for the end times.
The Meta CEO has been buying up land since 2014 on Kauai, the smallest of the four main Hawaiian islands.
This is allegedly to build a top-secret, 1,400-acre compound.
Reports by Wired suggest the tech mogul spent $170 million on the coveted, unspoilt plot on the island.

Sources also say he’ll be forking out another $100 million to build his top-secret Hawaii compound.
Considering Mark Zuckerberg’s car collection that’s incredibly humble for his billionaire status – it’s a big investment.
Already named ‘Koolau Ranch’, the sprawling compound will have a minimum of 30 bedrooms and 30 bathrooms.
Sounds like a lot, but these will be divided between over a dozen different buildings.
Atop a survivalist bunker at the center of the top-secret Hawaii compound will be two mansions.
Totaling 57,000 square feet, the two mansions will include elevators, an industrial kitchen, and conference rooms.
Plans apparently show that the vast majority of doors throughout the homes will be soundproofed and operated via keypad.
What’s more, the two properties will be joined by a secret tunnel that leads to a 5,000-square-foot underground bunker that’s protected by a metal door filled with concrete.
Of course, Mark Zuckerberg’s bunker isn’t your average bunker.
It’ll have its own living space, a mechanical room, and an escape hatch.
Oh, and there will be a wellness center that includes a full-size gym, multiple pools, a sauna, a steam room, and a tennis court.
In order to be self-sufficient, it’ll have an 18-foot-tall water tank, and the ability to produce its own energy and food supplies, too.
But, the cherry on top has to be the compound’s 11 circular treehouses that will be joined by rope bridges, so visitors can climb one treehouse to the next without stepping foot on the ground.
If you happen to visit Kauai and plan to get a sneak peak of the compound – think again.
For starters, it’s hidden from the road, tucked behind a six-foot wall, and monitored by round-the-clock security guards.
Understandably, due to the scope and nature of the project, Mark Zuckerberg has everyone working on the property sign a strict nondisclosure agreement.
As to whether Mark Zuckerberg will use Koolau Ranch as a part-time or full-time family retreat – who knows – but despite losing more than half of his wealth, work on the compound is well underway.
Wired reported that Mark Zuckerberg’s already hosted two different corporate events at the compound, so its secrets may not stay so secret for long.
