A man with seven Teslas has revealed how he never pays for charging.

The man from Colorado plugs his electric car into charge for free whilst he’s at the gym.

He revealed he can nab up to 72 percent of charge completely free per week.

He says he uses the same spot to charge his electric vehicles six days a week and uses mainly public chargers

Owning Seven Teslas would usually land you with a big electricity bill- but not for this guy

The man, who owns seven of the flashy cars says he has been using the same charging point for the last four years.

But after moving slightly further away from the charging point, he still works out at the gym near it, so it can still be used to give his car some juice.

As he visits the gym six out of seven days of the week, the Tesla owner gives the charger a decent amount of use- and the best part of all is that it’s not costing him any money either.

Obviously we can’t condone this behavior – someone is paying for the electricity after all – but we’re just telling you about this guy’s thrifty – some would say shameless – plug, if you’ll excuse the completely intentional pun.

In the video, he said: “I’ve been charging all of my Teslas at this charger for the last four years.

“I don’t live close enough to this charger anymore for it to be worth walking back and forth, but it’s still pretty close to my gym so ,every time I go I make sure to charge.”

Gym time adds up to free charging time

During the time he was in the gym, his electric vehicle charged an impressive 12 percent after he plugged it in at just 57 percent of charge.

And, although 12 percent doesn’t feel like an awful lot, the free charging time all adds up to 72 percent as he uses it six days a week.

At the end of the video he also smashes misconceptions about how owning an electric vehicle is ‘impossible’ without having a home charger.

He says the vast majority of his charging on all of his cars has been on free public chargers in the last four and a half years.

Teslas typically take 15 minutes to charge up to 200 miles on their superchargers.

The cars can also be charged via a wall connector or even mobile connectors and adaptors, too.

Equally, charging your auto at home could take you a whopping eight to ten hours, depending on the type of Tesla, according to Motor Trend.
