A man visited a Californian aircraft graveyard and found some nostalgic surprises.
Items including curtains and a movie screen were found on board a Thai Airways aeroplane.
Despite the dusty surroundings, the aeroplane had been kept pretty much intact.
But what else did they find?

A dusty desert that houses an aircraft graveyard
He visited the aircraft graveyard where over 100 huge planes called home and found some interesting relics hidden within the abandoned aircraft.
He explored the Thai Airways B747-400 and was amazed at what still remained.
Thai Airways officially retired their Boeing 747 with a ceremony just last year on April 23, 2024.
According to Airways mag: “The retirement of the majority of TG’s 747-400s first took place between March 2012 and December 2013, during which six aircraft of this type were phased out of the airline’s fleet.
“The second wave took place between June 2021 and September 2023, resulting in the retirement of ten more Jumbo jets.”
But, the one he found was dated many years before that.
On board, he found the interior largely in one piece, including seats and even oxygen masks hanging down from their compartments, which were still very much intact.
A big movie screen proved to show just how old the aircraft was

But, the star of the show proved to be the movie screen that still looked as if it could be brand new, but dates back to the 70s and 80s.
Amazed at the find, the screen was pulled out and flipped round.
The find really does show how advanced on-board entertainment has become.
In fact, Thai Airways themselves even state on their website: “Enjoy the up-to-date and classic in-flight entertainment with over 1,000 hours of movies, short films, games, music, news and information through a large personal screen for your maximum viewing pleasure”
That’s a whole world away from their old aircraft.
It was a trip down memory lane for the explorer too as he revealed that he had previously flown on the 747 sitting in ‘royal first class’.
He even commented on how it was a ‘shame’ that the seats were just collecting dust.
On board there was also the original purple wallpaper showing the Thai landscape, and that wasn’t all.
There was also the original in-flight magazines displaying the latest news regarding the airline.
