Off-screen Christian Bale doesn’t quite have a Batmobile, he has a humble car from 2003

One would expect an actor like Christian Bale to drive a luxury supercar, as it won’t be that much of a downgrade from the Batmobile — in reality, the actor drives a humble car from 2003.

Despite playing roles like historic racing driver Ken Miles, the actor doesn’t seem to have expensive or exotic tastes in cars.

Although he owns an all-black Porsche Cayenne, his main daily driver is a used 2003 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.

The Dark Knight actor has been spotted with the truck multiple times over the years.

He bought the vehicle second-hand in 2003 and has had it since then.

Although Christian Bale might not have the greatest car collection in Hollywood, he knows how to pick a car for his needs.

“It’s practical and all my friends need it for moving stuff!

“Once you have a pickup truck, you don’t go back to anything else, and also I don’t give a crap if it gets scratched, no one wants to steal it, and no one thinks there’s anything of value in it.

“I bought it second-hand and I’ve had it for 13 years!” said the actor.

The pickup truck also serves as a great camouflage for the British actor.

No one would expect a world-famous actor to drive such a regular old Toyota Tacoma.

The photos of the pickup truck indicate it is a post-facelift first-generation model produced between 2001 and 2003.

The pickup truck is a PreRunner that features a 3.4-liter V6 engine with a rear-wheel-drive, not a 4×4.

However, Bale is not the only celebrity who owns a regular old car.
