If you look hard enough, it’s easy to spot what’s wrong with this Toyota Tacoma pickup truck as it looks like a BMW 3-series from the front.

Lo and behold the BMW Tacoma 3-series or should we call it a BMW Pickup?

Either way, it is a work of art, created by students from the County Career Tech Educational Center in Shelby County, Alabama.

All new customized BMW pickup truck

The custom pickup truck is a 2001 Toyota Tacoma, and the student fitted the 3-series front to the truck.

It seems many people prefer using the 3-series for customization as a group of engineers used the car to make a real-life, drivable Transformer.

Fortunately, no functioning cars were harmed during the birth of this amalgamation, as the students used two out-of-commission vehicles for this conversion.

The students also placed the BMW corporate logo on the number plate and the truck’s bonnet.

BMW and pickup trucks

The German automaker has a weird relationship with pickup trucks.

While the automaker has made several mock pickups in the past, it has never put one in production.

The luxury carmaker tried to turn the X7 into a one-off pickup truck concept in 2019.

However, it never went into production either.

After that, we saw several owners build their own custom BMW pickup trucks.

The custom truck featured above is just one of several custom vehicles to fill this void.

It was also on display at the 2021 Alabama Auto Show.

The students also managed to get the iconic center wheel caps denoting Bavaria’s official colors.

There are also Punisher skulls replacing the inner pair of headlights.

This custom vehicle is one of the few unique vehicles that showcase human ingenuity and individuality.
