This woman refused to sell her Plymouth Superbird, even if it would help pay off her debt.
Her dad bought her the iconic car back in 2001.
The woman has never driven it, but she turned down an impressive offer for the vehicle.
Apart from the emotional connection she has to the car, it also has celebrity ties to celebrated driver, Richard Petty.

The discovery of the Plymouth Superbird
The Mopars5150 crew travel the country looking for rare and iconic muscle cars to add to their collection.
They thought they’d struck gold when they happened upon this Plymouth Superbird, which the current owners no longer drive.
It was in perfect condition, unlike the one uncovered in a chicken house.
Or the pair of Plymouths that had been parked in a barn since 1975.
Unfortunately, the current owner wasn’t interested in selling the car, although she’s never driven it.
It was a gift from her father for her 12th birthday and holds a special place in her heart for several reasons.
One reason is its ties to a certain celebrity racecar driver.
Refusing to sell a legend
The woman’s father bought the Superbird for a steal, paying just $9,000 for it.
Since then it’s remained in their garage where he’s kept it in near-perfect condition.
Today one of these cars can reach up to $280,000, a sum that would erase the owner’s house payments.
But she stood her ground, as the sentimental attachment was too strong.
The Plymouth Superbird is linked to legendary racer, Richard Petty, who won several races in it, cementing it in the pages of NASCAR history.
And this one has a direct link to the Petty family, having been reportedly owned by the racer’s cousin.
Not quite as exciting as the one driven by Petty himself, but it’ll do.
