Long-time smartphone maker Xiaomi is on track to release the hyped-up SU7 Ultra, but getting one will not be easy — in case you are interested.
The four-door EV will soon hit the roads, but the company wants you to meet certain criteria before draining your wallet.
As to what the criteria will include — there’s not much that Xioami has revealed.

Before jumping to the ‘conditions,’ let’s take a step back here.
The smartphone maker introduced the SU7 EV last year and aimed to be the ‘Tesla-killer’ in the all-electric side of things.
It was perceived with mixed emotions, but the company wasn’t done just yet.
It unveiled the SU7 Ultra hypercar a while back, and it came in as a surprise.
Why is that, you ask?
It’s because the prototype sends out no less than a whopping 1,527 horsepower.
The Ultra trim also gets unique racing wheels, side skirts, and a rear wing — but all of that diminishes in front of those performance numbers.
All that power comes from two V8s and a V6 electric motor.
That would make the SU7 Ultra faster than a Bugatti Chiron and most other ‘fast’ sports cars you could think of.
Although it’s not in production yet, this could certainly be a contender for the fastest EVs in the world.
But getting one will be a task, so to speak.
The automaker wants you to pass a test to buy it
The automaker wants its potential customers to work their way up to reach the maximum performance output by driving the SU7 Ultra supercar.
As Carscoops reported, the tech giant’s CEO mentioned that customers will need to follow through a step-by-step driving exam to ‘unleash the car.’
The company obviously doesn’t have anything concrete to reveal to the world yet, but we suspect that it will have a plan to follow something like this through.
As unusual as this sounds, the tech giant isn’t the only one with a ‘purchase criteria.’
Brands like Ferrari and Porsche do it all the time — but they’ve been around for much longer and have a reputed catalog.
Once Xiaomi is ready with the SU7 Ultra supercar for the world to see, we will know more about the specifics.
