GTA 6 will likely be released next year but new rumors, speculation and leaks keep appearing on a weekly basis.

The latest rumor, regarding GTA 6’s gameplay, confirms something players had been hoping for.

When analyzing leaked footage from September 2022, keen GTA fans were able to deduce that the game will seemingly allow players to go prone.

This would be a game-changer for every mission where being stealthy is important i.e., most of them.

According to said rumors, it is believed that players will need to hold down L3 to go prone.

This, for the time being, is just speculation, mind you.

The hype around GTA 6 is so feverish that Rockstar Games managed to break a YouTube record after uploading the long-awaited trailer to the game.

With over 62 million views in less than a day, this is by far the most viewed non-music video in 24 hours.

This is actually a certified Guinness World Record, by the way.

Even though we have no exact release date yet, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games parent company, inadvertently provided fans with a potential release window.

“We have said we have a very robust pipeline of titles and we have a great outlook for fiscal 2025 where we’ve reiterated our belief that we’ll generate about $8 billion in net bookings,” CEO Strauss Zelnick said.

With our Sherlock Holmes hat on, we take that as a hint that they’re expecting to make $8 billion with a game that’ll be released between April 2024 and March 2025.

That’s a lot of cash, and there aren’t that many Rockstar and / or Take-Two titles that can generate $8 billion in sales.
