Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6 front

Hennessey has revealed its latest crazy creation – the insane VelociRaptor 6×6 pickup truck.

The Texan company might be best known for its top speed record-breaking supercars, but it also builds plenty of six-wheeled trucks for customers as well.

This new VelociRaptor is its take on the latest third-generation Ford F-150 Raptor, having previously given the old model the same treatment back in 2017.

Obviously, the main upgrade is that the entire vehicle has been lengthened to add that third axle at the back.

The bed alone is now 730cm (2.5-feet) longer than on the standard Raptor.

Not only is it longer but it’s taller, too, with upgraded Fox suspension giving it a 7.6cm (3.0-inch) lift.

Combine all that with dual locking rear axles and Hennessey claims the VelociRaptor 6×6 offers 50 percent more grip than a regular Raptor off-road.

Of course, it also looks the part thanks to its 20-inch wheels wrapped in 37-inch off-road tires.

There are tough metal bumpers to make sure it can withstand any trails you throw it at as well.

And of course, power has been increased as well, with the Raptor’s 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 turned up to 558hp (416kW) and 911Nm (672lb-ft).

That comes courtesy of a new air intake, high-capacity intercooler, blow-off valve, and an upgraded ECU.

Hennessey VelociRaptor 6×6 price

Naturally, with this many enhancements, the VelociRaptor doesn’t come cheap.

Prices start at a whopping $399,950 – over five times the normal F-150 Raptor’s $72,350 base price.

However, the work Hennessey does is of such a high quality it offers a three-year warranty on it.

Plus, you can order one direct from a Ford dealership.

But if you prefer a RAM or a Chevy, Hennessey offers 6×6 versions of them as well with the Mammoth and Goliath.
