This boat is a love letter to the Porsche Boxster.
From the shape of the headlamps to the wing mirrors and the interior, every element is a tribute to Porsche’s most popular roadster.
Aptly nicknamed the ‘Porsche Boat’, this 16-foot watercraft started out as a 1995 Craig Craft 168 Boss.
The front part of the bodywork has been transformed into the Boxster’s nose, and the same can be said about the windshield and even the wing mirrors.

Even more impressive is the shape of the stern, which features the car’s iconic domed taillights.
And there’s more, because even the interior is scaringly similar to the one you’d find in a Boxster from the late 1990s.
The attention to detail is commendable.
It is definitely giving Porsche vibes, from the shape of the dashboard down to the steering wheel and ‘Porsche’ lettering in the correct font.
It even has cupholders and a stereo.
And, of course, waterproof race car-style bucket seats.
Porsche boat performance
The boat, just like the car from the era, is powered by a six-cylinder engine.
But it isn’t a flat-six, instead, it uses a General Motors 4.3-liter V6, giving it a top speed of around 55 mph or 47 knots.
You won’t be winning any races with this boat, but it’s certainly winning some hearts.
And at the end of the day that’s whole point of the project.
This is essentially a DIY project, and it is currently available from popular auction site Bring A Trailer.
The current bid at the time of writing is $22,000.
