Manhart turns the Mercedes C63 into a 700-hp two-tone monster

It's a swan song for the C 63 as we know it.

German tuner Manhart has turned the Mercedes-AMG C63 into a 700-hp monster.

Now, the C63 isn’t exactly the most subtle car in the world but Manhart decided to hammer the point home by painting it black and gold.

The Manhart CR 700 Last Edition started out in life as a ‘simple’ turbocharged AMG 63, delivering 503 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.

However, the German tuning company remapped the ECU before replacing the stock intake and the stock intercooler with some carbon fiber ones.

As a result, the Manhart 63 is now churning out 700 hp (hence the name), giving it a 60-124 mph time of just 5.5 seconds, according to the company.

That’s not the end of the story because they also fitted new height-adjustable coil springs, an upgraded transmission and new tailpipes for the exhaust system.

New brakes are also available on request.

Design-wise, the CR 700 stands out mainly due to Manhart’s signature two-tone finish in Matte Black and gold.

As standard, the car is fitted with 20-inch black wheels but you can have those in gold as well.

The same goes for the interior.

You can opt for any color and material you want, including Alcantara and leather, of course.

The bad news is this is called the ‘Last Edition‘ for a reason.

It’s a swan song for the C 63 as we know it.

Not that long ago, this specific Mercedes model was called ’63’ because it had a 6.3-liter engine.

That changed with the current-gen C-Class, which is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 even though it’s still called ’63’.

However, that’s going to drastically change again.

This is because the next C 63 will be powered by a 2.0-liter hybrid.

Imagine that.
