This gorgeous mansion near Lake Tahoe hides an underground garage that’s every petrolhead’s dream.
The underground garage is even bigger than the one on the ground floor, and it’s large enough to fit an entire collection of vehicles.
But that’s not even the most exciting part.
That’s because it’s the car elevator that takes you to the garage that’s stealing the show here.

This is the sort of home Jay Leno would probably buy to park some of his cars.
The house has two main garages, one on the upper floor and another one located underground, and, combined, they can accommodate around 70 to 90 vehicles, depending on the size of said vehicles.
The man who built it managed to fit as many as 40 cars underground, and 50 motorcycles in the upper structure.
With a total usable space of 12,000 square feet, roughly half of which is located underground, the home can easily accommodate a sizable fleet of cars, motorcycles, or both.
In order to reach the underground level, the owner can use an aircraft elevator that’s capable of carrying up to 250,000 lbs (over 110t).
The underground bunker is an impressive feat of engineering, measuring 60 feet in length and 12 feet in width.
Hard to say.
We’ve seen all kinds of wild homes, from the Bond Villain-style abode in Utah to John Travolta’s house, which comes with its runway.
But the thing is, this house will probably look more valuable to a petrolhead.
And yes, those who can afford a large house often pair it with a large collection of vehicles.
But that’s a common association, not an automatic one.
About 12 years ago, when the man who built the home listed it for sale, he told CNN the price was $50 million.
But a lot has changed since, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the house sold for a lot more, or a lot less than that today.
