It’s completely normal to see a Rolls-Royce Ghost cruising in Miami, but seeing one with a Miami Beach Police livery is unheard of.

That’s right — Miami Beach Police’s newest recruit isn’t a police officer, but an expensive 2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost.

The police department unveiled its latest addition to the fleet on social media platforms with a video of the luxury car.

If anything, the Rolls-Royce Ghost is a great recruitment tool to highlight the department’s values.

It’s certainly not the first time we have seen a police department adding a luxury car to their fleet.

For instance, Dubai police take pride in their elite supercar fleet, and they recently acquired a McLaren Artura.

Miami Beach Police shared the unveiling, which took place at its South Beach headquarters, via posts on Instagram and X.

“MBPD and professional staff exemplify the highest standards of dedication and quality policing in our unparalleled commitment to the residents and visitors we serve,” the post read.

To be honest, a Rolls-Royce Ghost makes for an excellent patrol car.

Plus, the police lights on the grille and the roof, as well as the livery, are an unusual modification, making it even cooler.

Now, it’s not the limited-edition Rolls-Royce Ghost Prism, but it’s unique in its own way.

But why does the Miami Police really have a Rolls-Royce Ghost as a patrol car?

For starters, it makes a really good impression on citizens regarding the police department.

The luxury car is a loaner from a local luxe dealer, Braman Motors, which came forward to promote law enforcement.

Well, the officer driving the Rolls-Royce Ghost would make a lot of people jealous.

The car might be old, but it’s a beast even by modern standards.

Housing a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, the Rolls-Royce Ghost can pump out 563 horses.

It’s considerably fast, too.

With all that, the patrol car could achieve 0 to 60 mph (0-97 km/h) in 4.3 seconds.

When the police catch offenders, they would be in for a luxury and comfortable ride to the police station.
