These floating SeaPods look like they came out of a SciFi movie but they’re fully furnished homes that you can actually live in.
Remember the skytower that Tom Cruise’s character uses in the 2013 SciFI movie Oblivion?
Similar idea, different shape.

The SeaPods sit about 2.5 meters (8 feet) above the water and offer three levels and 830 square feet of living space.
The pods are designed to have your bedrooms and bathrooms on the top floor and your kitchen, dining and living rooms on the second.

And the base level, or ground floor, can be customized at will.
The pods also have 575 square feet of panoramic windows and a patio.

As you can imagine, these pods are also a tech fest.
Residents can control everything remotely; from the room temperature to the water pressure of the shower and the lighting.
Obviously there’s an app for that but there’s also a special smart ring that the owner can wear instead of using the app.
How does it work?
Simple: you just wave your hand to control everything from the heating, the lights, and the music.
You can even use it to unlock the doors.

The pods are built in Panama by a company called Ocean Builders, but they can be installed anywhere.
They’re also equipped with catering drones that can be used to deliver food and other goods to the pods.
They can even be used to take the trash out.
The floating pods will be available to order from September, with prices raging from $295,000 to $1.5 million depending on how the owner wants to customize it.
The first 100 units will be delivered in the third quarter of 2023, with an additional rollout of 1,000 pods in 2024.
