When money is no object, you can go all out on designing the most unique superyacht built for your taste.
These are some of the most striking designs we’ve seen.
5. Guilty
The first superyacht on this list comes with clout as US artist Jeff Koons is behind the bold colors and wild art design.
He collaborated with Italian yacht designer Ivana Porfiri to create this 35.3-meter (116-feet) vessel.
And its owner, Cypriot industrialist Dakis Joannou, knew the controversy he was walking into.
“We did what we wanted; style was irrelevant,” the avid art collector told Forbes in 2013 about his megayacht, Guilty.
“We designed a boat in an antistyle method. We have no rules, no programs, no plans.”
And any time anyone mentions the word “guilty”, this banger comes to my mind (a very niche reference, I know):
4. Lazzarini Avanguardia
Move over, Natalie Portman.
There’s another swan I’m talking about now: the $500 million Lazzarini Avanguardia concept yacht.
This 137-meter (450 feet) megayacht has a neck that stretches out to form a swan shape, topped off with a control tower as its head.
It can be lowered and drop off a 16-metre (52.49 foot) tender into the water.
The Avanguardia takes inspiration from Japanese anime series of the 1970s and 80s.
There’s one, in particular, it draws from: Casshan – which features a robot swan masquerading as a woman.

3. Ocean Sapphire
The Ocean Sapphire is a striking rounded vessel and can hold up to 12 guests across five cabins.
It was sold for about $7 million back in 2015.
The 41-meter (135 feet) superyacht was built by Rodriquez Yachts and designed by renowned British designer Sir Norman Foster.
It has an aluminum exterior with twin Caterpillar engines powering it to reach up to 17 knots (31km/h or 20mph).
The Ocean Sapphire is available for charter from $95,000 a week plus expenses.
2. Khalilah
It was the first all-carbon yacht, measuring in at 48.5 meters (159.12 feet), to ever be built.
The eye-catching exterior is decked out in custom Cordova gold and certainly cannot be avoided.
But I do love a commitment to style as a 7-meter (23-feet) gold tender also comes with the vessel.

The Khalilah, worth about $31 million, has rooms and suites to house 11 guests.
Palmer Johnson headed the interior design which “blends contemporary chic with a distinct Asian influence”.
1. Zion
The final unique superyacht on the list is the $600 million Zion. And it’s number 1 for a reason, just look at its giant domed window.
It looks like a huge eye.
It kind of creeps me out, but I also can’t look away at the same time. And the more I look at it, the more I dig it.
The window is actually inspired by a black hole and gives you 180-degree views of the ocean from the 110-meter (360-feet) vessel.
Zion also has a sick infinity pool with a glass bottom.
Designed by Bhushan Powar Design, the yacht has its own helipad and a glass column elevator for easy access to all levels.
Twenty guests can live on board its 10 luxurious rooms and a master suite.
