Despite selling one private jet Taylor Swift’s carbon footprint won’t change due to owning an even bigger jet

Taylor Swift is definitely one of the world’s most frequent flyers.

The 34-year-old pop star recently sold her private jet amid backlash regarding her extensive carbon footprint.

But there’s a catch.

Taylor Swift famously uses her private jet quite often, to put it mildly.

In the first six months of 2022 alone, she used her private jet 170 (!) times.

The Swift private jet saga is also being fueled by the feud between the singer and the guy who tracks her movements and shares them on X.

The whole palaver seemingly led to a decision by Swift to get rid of her Dassault Falcon 900, nicknamed ‘Number 13’.

Like other things in the aviation world, the sale is public record so we know, as confirmed by the US Federal Aviation Authority, that Swift’s former jet is now owned by a real estate company based out of Missouri.

But it’s okay, because Taylor Swift also has another jet.

The billionaire pop star bought her Falcon 900, valued at around $40 million, in 2009 but she also owns a slightly larger (23 m vs 20 m) and slightly more expensive ($53m) Falcon 7x.

Not only is Taylor Swift a private jet frequent flyer, she also appears to be a magnet for other’s people private jets.

This year’s Super Bowl set a number of records, also due to the hype created by Taylor Swift’s presence to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chief tight end Travis Kelce.

Among other things, this Super Bowl set the record for the largest number of private jets (1,100+) parked at Las Vegas airpot.

You can’t make this stuff up.
