We’re mere months away from the successor to the Huracán being unveiled.
Its name has already been leaked, alongside some spy shots that reveal how this car will look.
But the question on everyone’s mind has been regarding the engine.
At last, Lamborghini has revealed what will power the next-in-line Huracán, and the news is bittersweet.

As the automotive world embraces electric powertrains, the lineups of iconic manufacturers are starting to change.
Lamborghini has even changed its logo to represent its move to a more sustainable and decarbonized future.
The Aventador is being replaced with a hybridized successor and the next generations of Urus will be hybrids too.
Next up is the Huracán, whose successor is rumored to be named Temerario, after the Spanish word for ‘reckless’ or – more likely – ‘daredevil’.
The Huracán is beloved by many specifically for its naturally aspirated V10 engine.
Lamborghini has just broken some hearts by announcing that the V10 will officially be replaced.
The new model will feature a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with a trio of rear-mounted electric motors.
But it’s nothing to complain about considering that the new engine will reach 10,000rpm before hitting the redline.
It will deliver 800 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque, powered by the same eight-speed automatic gearbox as the Revuelto.
The team at Lamborghini had to start from scratch when designing this engine.
Adding the electric unit in between the gearbox and engine meant there was no space for the V10 setup.
However, the luxury car manufacturer claims that the successor will be “so much better” than even the Huracán.
They’ve prioritized performance and ‘driving emotion’, creating a driving experience like no other.
If all goes to plan, we’ll hopefully be treated to the roaring – or purring – sounds of this hybrid by August this year.
