This cool and unusual barn find contained seven Mercedes SL-Class – and the finder is hoping they’ll find a new home.
The seven Mercedes R107s were found in a barn in Pomaria, South Carolina, and went up for sale as a job lot on eBay.
The cars had been parked for a ‘very long time’ according to the man who found them.
He wanted to sell the cars as a complete collection and set a low asking price of just 25,000.

The Mercedes had been parked for a long time
When it comes to barn finds, few things are more exciting than stumbling across an entire car collection – such as the time a British urban explorer discovered 40 classic vehicles, including Aston Martins, Alfa Romeos, Bentleys, and BMWs, or the time a man found a Porsche, a Lotus, a Rolls-Royce, a Maserati, and a Ferrari all in one barn find.
However, rarer still is a barn find that exclusively houses one specific type of car – like the man who was lucky enough to find two Lamborghini Countachs.
Or this man who found not one, not two, but a whopping seven Mercedes.
Sadly, two of the cars were beyond repair and could only realistically be used for parts – possibly for the other five Mercs.
The collection includes three 450SLs and two 560SLs
According to the listing from seller thebenzman, one of the cars was involved in a serious accident and the other had a tree fall on it.
The other five cars were all in working order when they were parked, although the seller does admit this was ‘many years ago’.
The collection includes a white 560SL with blue interior; a very early model 450SL in silver with a black hardtop and red interior; a white 450SL with tan interiors and AMG spoilers and rocker panels; a dark green 380SL with tan interior; and a silver 380SL with blue interior.
The two wrecked cars are a grey-colored 560SL with a ‘good’ condition tan interior and a 450SL in silver with 99,000 miles on the clock.
The seller wanted to sell the cars as a whole collection and was asking $25,000 for the lot.
It could be an interesting project for a Mercedes-lover with the right skills.
