Mate Rimac CEO of Bugatti Automobiles and Rimac Automobili has put forward an idea that could revolutionize the car customization industry.
It seems like the automaker plans to make petrol cars for a long time.
And to achieve that they could go as far as providing free private fueling stations at the residences of its customers.

Rimac has doubled down on Bugatti’s commitment to internal combustion engines.
Despite Rimac Automobili electric vehicles being one of the fastest cars in the world, the CEO still believes in petrol-powered cars.
Speaking at the recent FT Future of the Car Summit in London, he suggested that Bugatti could go as far as building synthetic fuel stations at the homes of its super-rich customers.
The company is currently working on the Bugatti Chiron successor, which also has a petrol-powered engine.
According to Rimac, petrol engines are here to stay for Bugatti.
“I don’t see any reason not to make them beyond 2035. We have developed a completely new engine and we want to use that engine for a while,” he said.
He also talked about the European Union’s sales ban on internal combustion cars past 2035.
“I read the regulations and I don’t see a reason why it would be impossible. The headlines say combustion-engined cars will be banned from 2035. But you read the fine print and it doesn’t say that anywhere. You can still build them, but there might be some penalties,” he explained.
“You could even make some beautiful Bugatti fuel stations for the homes of owners, using synthetic fuels,” he continued.
Exclusions to the sales ban have already been made for cars running synthetic fuels, or eFuel.
Porsche has set up a pilot eFuel plant in Chile, where it plans to make 14.5 million gallons of synthetic fuel by 2025.
Since Porsche owns 45 percent of the Bugatti Rimac, this idea might be more than just a pipe dream.
