A Dallas woman got more than she bargained for when she bought a Tesla.
One clever feature meant that her car was in high demand in the States, leading to an unexpected visit.
The powerhouse EVs are known to be high tech – but maybe not to this extent.
However, once you find out who was after the feature – you’ll be as surprised as she was.

Tesla are the driving force of advancing EV technology
It’s certainly no secret that the humble Tesla boasts a whole host of perks – with Cybertrucks even being able tp to tow 10,000lbs.
They certainly have many flashy features – some even prevent door damage as well as taking on winches – proving that there isn’t a lot that the powerful EV can’t do.
In fact, the Cybertruck can even power a tiny house – impressive right?

However one woman from Dallas was left less than impressed when her car’s features were requested to be used by the cops.
Yes, that’s right – the police.

Can the car actually help the cops fight crime?
In a video shared to TikTok, she said that cops had paid her a whopping nine visits to ask to watch the footage that her car may have captured of commotion on the streets.
Cameras you say?
Well – you see – Tesla has a very clever feature known as ‘Sentry mode’.
This means that the EV’s cameras and sensors are able to detect nearby activity – helping to keep the car secure in a serious situation – kind of like a built-in security guard.
It even sends info to the Tesla app on your phone – almost like a ring doorbell for the road.
So whilst it was keeping Shaq Lauren’s car safe – it could have also been fighting street crime one cop visit at a time – impressive.
It was a consequence for this owner
But despite the handy feature – the creator wasn’t a fan of the visitors asking and said: “No one tells you when you get a Tesla that you’re basically going to work part-time for the police department.
“This is the ninth time that cops have come to my door”, said Shaq Lauren.
Maybe, thanks to Tesla’s clever thinking the police may think of their motors for their next fleet of police cars.
How long until we see a cop cutting about in a Cybertruck? Oh wait, that already happened.
Maybe in future all cars will have these camera set-ups – but you’d think the police would have them already, wouldn’t you?
