If you’re still weighing up the charging savings against the increased expense of buying an EV, here’s a vehicle that might finally convince you: The electric Flintstones Flintmobile.

Yabba-dabba-doo indeed.

In arguably one of the best juxtapositions between eras we’ve ever seen, this ancient vehicle has been powered by technology far beyond its years.

But it works like a dream, making this Flintstones Flintmobile EV truly one of a kind.

Man recreates The Flintstones car in incredible build

People have been warping cars, buggies, and karts into weird and wonderful creations for some time.

From rocket-powered bikes to miniature trains in New Zealand, smaller cabin cars are perfect for experiments.

But this particular man has taken influence from classic cartoons and opted to recreate the iconic Flintmobile from the 1960 sitcom The Flintstones.

The car was sold at an auction by StoneRoller_ReadLuke24, and comes as one of the best adaptations of the stone-age vehicle that we’ve ever seen.

Most of the exterior is created with wood, aluminum, steel, and plastic. And the washed paint adds a cartoon-like element to it.

The iconic red sidebars have been replicated beautifully, along with the canopy that serves as both an apt symbol of the cartoon and keeps its golf buggy appearance up by providing shade.

This Flintmobile kart is the perfect EV

Of course, there is one major difference between Fred Flintstone’s foot-stomper and this modern-day recreation.

There is no hiking the vehicle up and running with it.

Instead of being foot-powered, this Flintmobile runs on top of a golf-kart EV and three new 12-volt lead-acid batteries.

Unfortunately, you’d have as much chance of taking this down to Walmart as you would taking it to Bedrock. Because as with all golf karts, the vehicle isn’t road-legal.

Still, it could be the perfect buggy to enjoy a round of 18 holes with.

Or, you could take it on this superyacht and race it against Mario.

Do you love it as much we yabba-dabba-do?
