Guys put Tesla Cybertruck in an extreme winch test and there were some interesting results
- A Cybertruck has gone up against a 12,000 winch in an extreme strength teste.
- The beast was tested as it was hooked up to the trunk to see if the winch was any match
- Two tests were carried out with the Tesla being lifted into the air by the winch.

The Tesla Cybertruck has been put to yet another vigorous test, and this time it involves a winch.
The mighty electric truck – known for its durability in a whole heap of environments – was definitely given a run for its money.
This time, it was put up against a 12,000lb super winch.
The vehicle was fitted with an extreme duty bumper to test with the winch and the results were surprising, to say the least.

The Tesla is one big powerhouse
The vehicle stands tall and proud, with the AWD Cybertruck weighing 6603lbs.
The Cyberbeast is even heavier with the 240lb heavier electric motor.
A Cybertruck’s gross vehicle weight rating falls between 8001lbs and 10,000lbs, so it’s hardly a shrinking violet.
It also has off-road modes to put it to the real test, out in the wild.
When driving in tough terrain, the vehicle has modes where you can navigate shallow creeks, steep hills or rocky ground.
Alongside this, the app gives more control over the Cybertruck to help with other aspects such as braking.
But, could it really withstand a 12,000lb winch?
The winch was secured in place ready to take on the Tesla Cybertruck
The winch was attached to both the tree and the truck to be put to the ultimate test.
And, with an auxiliary power system to run the winch, the Tesla was in for a stiff challenge.
Firstly, they attached a strap to the tree to test if it could be pulled over dry asphalt.
At the beginning, the brakes were failing to hold.
But after a second try, there was success.
That meant that the Cybertruck passed the first functional test.

The winch pulled the Tesla across the ground – proving that it could move the powerhouse with ease.
The crew wanted to test the structural integrity of the bumper and how it attached to the Cybertruck.
Secondly, they wanted to test if the truck could be elevated by the winch.
So, once again the Tesla was attached up to the tree to really go up against the piece of equipment.
This time, both the winch and the truck passed the test with flying colors.
The Tesla was amazingly able to be lifted into the air, with the front two tires airborne, but the others placed firmly on the ground.
So, despite it’s intimidating exterior, the Tesla can still be tested and lifted by a winch smaller than one of it’s tires.
But, what does this prove?
You can draw your own conclusions on that – it’s cool though, right?
