In this video, Alex headed to California where she was given exclusive access to the Lotus Evija.

It’s an all-electric hypercar – but just not any electric hypercar.

The Evija is the most powerful car to enter series production, and it’s design is the epitome of the British brand’s ‘Carved By Air’ philosophy.

What’s more, the Lotus Evija uses an ultra-lightweight carbon fiber monocoque, making it the world’s lightest production EV hypercar at 1,887 kg.

As for power, the Evija has an output of 2,000 horsepower, capable of the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) dash in under three seconds, and a electronically-limited top speed of 350 km/h (218 mph).

Production of the first all-electric British hypercar is limited to just 130 cars – in tribute to its Lotus ‘Type’ number, 130 – each costing $2.5 million.
